Hello parent! Do you want to speak with your kid in English? Try to start with these easy sentences. Here are some Sentences/phrases you can use while waking your kid up in the morning.

 

1. Good morning honey. Time to get up !

2. Get up dear. You will miss the school bus if you don’t.

3. Sweety, you have to get up now. You are my good baby..

4. Good morning ! Rise and shine 🙂

5. Hug her/him and ask “Did you sleep well ? “

6. When you want to give them few extra minutes to sleep – Dear, I will come back in 10mins. Get up by then.

7. Hug, kiss and say Good morning my Sunshine !

8. Getting late. Wake up sweetheart. Your school bus won’t wait. We have to run ! Get up, get up. 😦 Yes your kid won’t be happy with you for waking him/her up but you don’t have any other option mommy. Do you ? 😀

Next comes ‘brush your teeth’! Here are some sentences you can use to instruct (with love) him/her in English.

1. Come on dear, it’s time to fight the germs in your teeth. Let’s go and brush your teeth !

2. Deary, won’t you brush your teeth and wash your face? The germs will hurt you if you don’t. Let’s do it.

3. You remember how the germs eat your teeth ? (Show him a picture if he rebels ) Come on , let’s go and clean your teeth !

4. You cannot have sweets today if you don’t brush your teeth. You want to have sweets today…don’t you ? (Now don’t make this promise everyday !😛 )

5. Hey, will you be my good baby ? Good babies brush their teeth and wash their mouths. Won’t you do that ?

6. You can have a great/yummy breakfast if you brush your teeth. Now run and brush your teeth ! (You better serve the promised breakfast 😃 )

7. You have to brush your teeth. I can make you a cheese sandwich (whatever breakfast he likes ) while you brush. We will have it together, okay honey ? Now let’s go and clean your teeth.

8. Do you know what we have for breakfast today ? (Show him ) Umm no…Let’s go quickly and brush your teeth first. You can have it after that.

9. Brush properly. If you don’t , you won’t get this food/tiffin.

10. Teachers(name a teacher your little one is scared of) will scold /punish you if you don’t brush your teeth (If all the above fails ☹ ) With a sad face, your sleepy child may agree to brush his teeth. Poor tough parent ! Done brushing?

Now the breakfast story! Here are some sentences in English you can use to instruct him/her to finish the breakfast.

1. Finish it quickly while it is hot. Have it honey.🍲

2. Is this sandwich sweet ? Umm I think it is spicy.. What do you think ? Let’s find out, come on.

3. You will get a sweet if you finish everything on your plate. ( Not to be practised everyday 😎)

4. You will miss the school bus now. Come quickly. See what is here. Your favourite food !

5. No dear, don’t get up ! Take a few more bites. We will go after that. 6. Honey you have to finish this egg. Do you know the story of that good egg ? ( Make a story mommy 😃)

7. Do you know Elsa/ chhota bheema/ Rapanzel ( or any character your child loves ) drinks milk everyday ? Won’t you my baby ?🥛

8. Good babies finish up their breakfast. Aren’t you my good baby ? ( mommy …baby’s sentiment you know 😞 )

9. Now you have to take this bite ! We need to run and catch the bus. 5 mins to go.
